A little bit about me as your Photographer

Hi! I'm Sofi

My path in the arts started when I was 3 and I drew a very beautiful Panda that made my mom cry- I then joined art classes and throughout my life was part of the photojournalism and photo club in school, and majored in fashion design.

So basically, I’ve spent my life developing my art and I’m always creating something even on my free time. You will always find that my hands are busy with a project, be it photography, embroidery, crochet, and most recently, pottery painting and candle-making.

This obsession of mine of imagining and bringing things to life translates into my photography in the same creative way. I see how light behaves differently through different fabrics, how texture changes a mood and how composition can make someone look good versus make someone feel like themselves.

I speak 4 languages fluently: German, English, Italian and Spanish. But most importantly, I can read people across cultures.

Having grown up in Mexico, studied and worked in Italy and Germany and building a life in Switzerland has taught me to understand cultural cues and context.

So, wherever you’re from I’m sure we will understand each other!

What I bring to a session:

Photography is a craft and I treat it as such. In both digital and film mediums I work with physical fabrics, crystals and materials that interact light that are never quite the same twice. This makes of a unique session where every moment is considered and real.

In a world where images are generated in seconds and nothing feels permanent I am going the other direction: Slow, intentional and handmade.

The moment that I photograph will never come back, and I treat it that way.

As for how we work together:

As a fashion designer, I will help you with styling, will guide you throughout the session and I will make it feel effortless.

There’s always space for both romantic and intimate moments as well as fun and high energy ones. Depending on your style and wishes, I will guide you through and you will never feel stiff or uncomfortable.

You’ll be doing something, feeling something, and I’ll be there when the real you appears.

I am a trained fashion designer and in my free time you will find me working on multiple projects at once

In an ai generated world, i go counter-current

We live in a world of infinite images whose only purpose is to be posted, saved to a phone, and forgotten.

Many of them filtered, generated, and disposable.

In this context, I choose to believe the opposite: in my eyes, every moment is unique. Once it passes it never comes back and it cannot be replicated.

That's why I work intentionally and use physical materials instead of digital shortcuts.

Because I want your photos to feel as special as the moment lived within them, so that they're not just beautiful to look at, but impossible to forget. The kind that take you straight back to exactly what you were feeling when the shutter clicked.
